Ask people what’s great about working for Google and chances are they’ll mention the free food. But that’s a benefit enjoyed by every poodle in America. To me, the real benefit of being at Google was that I got to meet and work with some really smart people. And by writing want ads for 27 Google offices in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, I helped the company recruit a lot of them.
