Ask people what’s great about working for Google and chances are they’ll mention the free food in the cafeteria. But free food is a benefit enjoyed by every poodle in America. To me, the real benefit of being at Google was that I got to meet and work with some of the smartest people on the planet. And by writing want ads for 27 Google offices in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, I helped the company recruit a lot of them.
